How to disable the hibernation in XP?

If you don't use hibernation, Open the control panel and the power options. Disable hibernation then Open up the command prompt and type del \hiberfil.sys (this is the reserved storage space for the hibernation file that windows reserves by default. If you don't use hibernation, You don't need this file.

To disable hybernation, go to an administrators command prompt and type: "powercfg /hibernate off". This removes the option in the shutdown menu.
